Travel Grants

To support the participation of young researchers at the Bernstein Conference, the Bernstein Network offers up to 10 Travel Grants, each endowed with 500 €.

Who can apply?

Students, PhD candidates and postdocs, who:

  • are a member of the Bernstein Network Computational Neuroscience*
  • are the first author of an abstract submitted for the Main Conference and/or are a speaker of a Satellite Workshop

Applications must include:

  • properly completed application form including:
    • abstract that was submitted for the Bernstein Conference 2024 including the list of authors and their affiliations and/or information about the Satellite Workshop talk
    • statement of motivation

In your statement of motivation, please elaborate on the importance of your participation in the Bernstein Conference and how it will be beneficial for your scientific career. Furthermore, please outline the impact your results will have for other attendees.
Only complete applications which reach the Bernstein Coordination Site in due time will be processed.
Applications must be written in English.

Applications will be possible from April 2024.

Travel Grant ceremony 2023

(*) Everyone who is active in the area of Computational Neuroscience or in related fields can become a member of the Bernstein Network Computational Neuroscience. Please note, you will receive your Bernstein Network membership number that is required for travel grant application via e-mail within 3 business days after the Bernstein Network has received your membership fees. Bernstein Network membership also implicates reduced registration fee for the Bernstein Conference as well as further advantages.
