Bernstein Node Paris

The Bernstein Node Paris was founded in 2026 to bring together members of the Bernstein Network based in the region.

Paris hosts numerous neuroscience institutes and research centers exploring the mysteries of the brain, from the molecular to the cognitive level. This vibrant research landscape has fostered a growing community of computational neuroscientists working across institutions. The founding members of the Parisian Node include researchers from École Normale Supérieure, Sorbonne University, the Neuromodulation Institute, and NeuroSpin at the Frédéric Joliot Institute for Life Sciences.

The Bernstein Node Paris aims to enhance the visibility of the computational neuroscience community in Paris and deepen its connections to the Bernstein Network. One of its central missions is to promote exchange and collaborations across the broader network through a range of coordinated activities.

Paris offers high-quality graduate programs in neuroscience with strong training in computational approaches. Through the Bernstein Node, the city aims to attract more international students and early-career researchers for internships and interdisciplinary projects, thereby fostering scientific exchange across borders.
