Travel Grants

To support the participation of early career scientists at the Bernstein Conference, the Bernstein Network offers up to 10 Travel Grants, each endowed with 500 €.

Who can apply?

Students, PhD candidates and postdocs, who:

  • are a member of the Bernstein Network Computational Neuroscience*
  • AND are the first author of an abstract submitted for the Main Conference and/or a speaker at a Satellite Workshop.

Applications must include:

  • The abstract submitted for the Bernstein Conference 2025, including the list of authors and their affiliations, and/or information about the Satellite Workshop talk
  • A statement of motivation

In your statement of motivation, please elaborate on the importance of your participation in the Bernstein Conference and how it will benefit your scientific career. Additionally, describe the potential impact of your research on other attendees.

Applications must be written in English.

Only complete applications received by the Bernstein Coordination Site within the deadline will be considered.

(*) Anyone active in Computational Neuroscience or related fields can become a member of the Bernstein Network Computational Neuroscience. Please note that you will receive your Bernstein Network membership number, required for the Travel Grant application, via email within three business days of the Bernstein Network receiving your membership fees. Bernstein Network membership also entitles you to a reduced registration fee for the Bernstein Conference, among other advantages.
