PhD Symposium 2026

The Bernstein PhD Symposium is an opportunity for junior researchers to meet their peers, share their experiences and make new connections. It is organized entirely by PhD students. We strive for an inclusive and informal environment that fosters discussions and allows for an open exchange of ideas. Master students are very welcome to participate!

At this year’s PhD Symposium, we explore how Generative AI is transforming science, and with it, our everyday research practice. We’ll open by discussing where things stand today: from the tools we’re already using and their impact on different stages of scientific work, to the restrictions surrounding their use in academia. From there, we look ahead to the questions this transformation raises for the future, exploring them from a range of perspectives.

Please note: You need to book this event during your registration for the Bernstein Conference. The event has limited capacity.
