Media Production
All media productions at the Bernstein Conference must be requested in advance and approved by our Press and Public Relations (PR) team.
Representatives of the press are welcome and can obtain a press pass on site without prior registration. For further information, please click here.
Photos and Videos
The PR team of the Bernstein Network will take photos and videos during the Bernstein Conference for public relations and documentation purposes, including use in:
- online media
- print media
- publications of the Bernstein Network Computational Neuroscience.
By attending the event, you consent to the use of photos and videos in these contexts. If you do not wish to be photographed, please indicate this by following the procedure described in your registration email.
When taking photos, we adhere to the press code of the German Press Council. Personal data will be obscured where necessary to protect your privacy.
Social Media
The PR team manages accounts on Bluesky, Mastodon, and LinkedIn on behalf of the Bernstein Network Computational Neuroscience.
We aim to communicate clearly and engage with our audience to share news and updates from the field of computational neuroscience.
If you would like to share your impressions of the Bernstein Conference on social media, we encourage you to use the hashtag #BernsteinConference.
Content
Posts from the Bernstein Network follow the principles of neutral, fact-based scientific communication. We aim to make our content clear, informative, and occasionally engaging.
Links to other websites
Where appropriate, our accounts may include links to external websites not operated by the Bernstein Network PR team. These links are provided for the convenience and interest of users. The Bernstein Network is not responsible for the accuracy, timeliness, or reliability of external content and does not endorse these websites or their views.
Reposts
Sharing or reposting content does not imply endorsement. We may share news, links, and perspectives that we consider relevant to our audience.
Following
Following a user does not imply support for that user or their views. We follow accounts relevant to our field. Likewise, the Bernstein Network does not endorse all users who follow its accounts. We may remove or block followers if they are clearly automated (“bots”) or do not adhere to our commenting guidelines.
Comments and interaction
Commenting etiquette on our accounts
We welcome comments and expect all contributions to follow the principles of respectful, civil discourse. Users are fully responsible for their comments, which are publicly visible.
The Bernstein Network does not discriminate based on opinion. However, we do not tolerate comments that are offensive, abusive, or disrespectful toward individuals or organizations. We reserve the right to remove content that includes:
- racist, hateful, sexist, homophobic, defamatory, insulting, or life-threatening language
- unsubstantiated or misleading accusations against individuals or organizations
- aggressive, violent, obscene, or pornographic content
- personal attacks or defamatory statements
- content that promotes or encourages unlawful activity
- content not created by the user (unless they hold the appropriate rights)
- content in languages other than English or German
- unintelligible or irrelevant content
- messages written entirely in capital letters (these are difficult to read and can convey the impression of shouting).
Users who violate these guidelines may be temporarily or permanently excluded from participation. We may also report violations to the respective platform if they breach the platform’s terms of service.
Other important remarks
We are not able to respond to all comments but will participate in discussions where possible.
The opinions expressed by users do not necessarily reflect those of the Bernstein Network.
Privacy
The Bernstein Network’s social media accounts are public and operate on third-party platforms. Users are encouraged to review the privacy policies of Bluesky, Mastodon, and LinkedIn.
Information shared via social media is considered public. It may be captured, stored, accessed, and disclosed in accordance with applicable regulations or platform policies.
Participation is at your own risk. To protect your privacy and that of others, please do not share personal information in your posts or comments. This includes, for example, home addresses, phone numbers, or images of identifiable individuals.
